Williams' severed head was then frozen, and even used for batting practice by a technician trying to dislodge it from a tuna fish can...

1. Why was the head in a tuna fish can?
2. Does freezing a head shrink it to a size that will (almost) fit in a tuna can?

I was fulling expecting pictures of Ted Williams head with Red Sox fans. But this is odd.
