She wouldn't have called you at all if you would have put both patties on the Big Mac like you were trained to do. and she asked me to tell you to stop asking if she wants fries with her order.

Most of the 12 were played with leather helmets so idea of the competition level....but 97 had the lead and the ball in 4th quarter in beautiful Morgantown! Of coarse that was long before you boys turned chicken!
yes...I believe that was the year of marshlas "best team ever".......until Nehlen put the first team back in.......ahhh the memories

In reality that was a Sophomore dominated team and gashed the WVU starters.Had they all been Seniors the game would not have been nearly exciting! But hell bro, I'm not here to rain on your revisionist history.

“Put the first team back in”?

I don’t remember Nehlen putting the band members and cheerleaders in the game.

I remember WVU with first time starter Mark Buldger (sp) not able to separate from Marshall and when the Herd took the lead, WVU went to their strength (blitzed and spent the second half chasing / sacking / pressuring ) Pennington into a couple of interceptions then ran the ball down Marshall’s throat.

Mark Bulger was the best QB WVU ever produced, the only one that had a meaningful NFL career in my remembrance. But you're correct, it was a " day at the beach" for the Mounties, a day at Omaha Beach!

Yet, Bulger got his a$$ kicked on his home field by the mighty Buckeyes in 1998!!!

They won't even try to revise history, Tony, as I was there on 9/5/98...my one and only trip to Mountaingoat Field at Milan Pushover Stadium (may not have been called that back then, but who cares?). Tiny CB Antoine Winfield was the best player on the field, but the Old Fold & Blew had no chance to stop the Joe Germaine-led Ohio State offense. RB Michael Wiley rushed for 148 yards and two Buckeye wideouts put up 100+ yard receiving days as Ohio State rolled, 34-17. It was a bad day to be a Mountaineer!

Well, they showed you Bucks...they quit playing you! Always the Mountie "Ace in the hole".
