we had just lost to Maine and it was the eve of our annual ***-kicking by LSU. Damn 2014 feels good, and I still can't believe we finally beat them at Tiger Stadium.

17 me in both sides of my ***... wow.

I actually just mentioned 10 years ago in another thread but didn't really want to realize how bad it was... Thanks for that, **********

But, I will say it again. What a wonderful time it is to be an MSU dawg...

You know, a lot of kids today still remember that. Hopefully we keep winning and the younger kids will remember us as winners and then be able to pick the cream of the crop on recruits

Folks on the Twitter were doing the #TweetAtYourself10YearsAgo and it got me thinking about how bad it was. I tweeted at myself that we would lose to Maine and Vandy, but somehow beat Florida.

Wow...10 years ago. That 11:30 kick against Auburn sucked ***. It was hot as hell, and Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown rushed for what felt like a combined 500 yards. Plus Bulldog Bash was the night before so the crowd was dead even before we knew even what happened.

On a sidenote, during Bulldog Bash the night before, someone launched a tootsie pop at Howie Day (the headliner) and it blasted him right in the eye. Whoever it was, he was a lot more accurate than Kyle York.

I remember that year Sports Illustrated had an article about how evenly matched the SEC was. There was some comment like "Anyone, with the exception of Mississippi State, can beat anyone else in the league". I think that issue came out the day before we beat Florida.

Beating Florida was the best thing we did that year (obviously). It set the table for Meyer to go to Florida and bring Dan with him fresh off dominating at Utah with Alex Smith. We helped ourselves more than we thought that day.

Never thought of it that way. That was a program changing win.

I'll never forget the Maine loss and more specifically the LSU game the following week. I was in the maroon band when we went into death valley. The LSU student section was wearing Maine shirts...

it made that 50something-0 beating all the more miserable

I was at the vandy game when we busted our henig in nville

He throws a 90 yard bomb to prosser and prosser gets called for the push off.

Next play was a pick 6 I think

My uncle and I bet on games every week. nothing much, just small stuff, and he kinda threw me a bone that week, gave me State and 50 points against LSU. As you can see above, we lost, 51-0.
