Probably did not fit Leach's system. Not everybody does/did.
I can’t imagine that Tennessee gives a **** about this game. Plus they’re not very good anyway.

I remember saying this at the 1991 Liberty Bowl when Air Force came out of the tunnel and we had the largest O Line in the country but also the slowest evidently.
Our team was convinced like it was just a big party, and we played like it.
Tennessee has some athletes, good Lord. How they are 8-5 is unfathomable. Poor coaching, maybe?
Amen brother! The coffee talk around work this morning was all about how poorly the SEC plays in bowl games and that it is not a 'good look' for the conference. I replied, "I hope they all lose. I hate them all." Everyone was stunned, ha. "You have to pull for the SEC blah blah blah yada yada yada." I asked them how an SEC with a strong bowl/post-season record helps Mississippi State (all are State fans.) "Well, it shows the rest of the country how good we are down here blah blah." I just laughed and said 17 em.
I think they did not take it seriously until the end when they were in trouble. Only about 4 minutes of the entire game did they seem like they were in it.
In any particular year, no, it does not matter to us. But we do make more money because the SEC is known as the best and over time we'll take a hit if the conference consistently looks as weak as it has last year and this year.
So is the AZ St win. They're now 8-4, out of the Top 25 and a +3.5 underdog later against Duke
