My recollection is about $9m a year and ending about 2026. Both figures could be slightly off. The $9m figure included a large amount of non- cash things like uniforms, etc.

UofL's deal w/ Adidas was renewed in 2017. It was a ten year, $160M deal that runs through the 2027-2028 season. That's $16M per year. UofL has partnered with Adidas since 1998.

Other Adidas schools include A&M, Kansas, Arizona State, Washington, Miami, Nebraska, NCST, Mississippi St., Georgia Tech, IU, and Rutgers.

Where we not, at one time in a galaxy far far away, the “flagship” program for Adidas?

My memory only goes so far….

Yes.

A lot of it has to do with us being the only sports team in a metro area. Without having sports here, they can really sell our merchandise to casual fans and residents. People that just want a Louisville shirt or hat to rep the city or even a tourist snagging one. Thats a big value.
