I'm shocked by this, said no one ever.
I'm sorry. I may have accidentally "reported" this and didn't mean to
You do know that this incident occurred Kiffen was the head coach - 7 years ago ? Things/culture has changed under Jones.http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/footba...im-loves-Vols-more-than-law-?urn=ncaaf,202271
It's the culture. Notice what the robbery victim says about the UT football players who committed the crime.

So, you're saying they finally got that rotting sewer smell out of Neyland? Good for you folks! You do know that this incident occurred Kiffen was the head coach - 7 years ago ? Things/culture has changed under Jones.
If the violations you are talking about are about the lawsuit , then you should know that those violations were over several years and according to a study published by a newspaper (name escapes me ) UT's violations were below the national norm at ncaaa campuses. This fact doesn't excuse the violations but shows that this kind of behavior is common across the country. Does the fact that there have been several fights/incidents involving uk football players in the last year ot two show that uk fosters a culture of violence ?Does this culture include a dozen plus violations, too?

Really? AJ was the star of the defense last year, I could have sworn Butch Jones was the coach of the Vols last year. He wasn't recruited by Kiffin, probably never even met him. There were more than AJ involved last year, maybe the John Doe who is still on the team, who very likely was recruited by Butch. He is still on the team, probably a contributor or he wouldn't be, so lets not act like Butch is a bastion of goodness and all that is right. He kept him on the team because he could help him win.
Go back and read what I was initially referring to -it was an article about the robbery during Kiffens stay . Before you speak you should know what you are talking about. The AJ incident was separate from my initial response. Going to sleep. see yaReally? AJ was the star of the defense last year, I could have sworn Butch Jones was the coach of the Vols last year. LMAO at the Vol pointing a finger at UK FOOTBALL for fostering a culture of violence. (1) As stated above, "Several?", and (2) I can think of more than 120 other FBS schools whose football programs are doing the same thing. Violence = Apple. Sexual Violence = Orange (apparently).Several?
This incident is terrible and is not acceptable. However, I would say that from what I know about the incident that it may not be as simple as it appears to be. This has been almost a year and a half ago and nothing has happened legally, which tells me that there may not be enough evidence to proceed. In fact, there is a legal precident in Tenn about disclosure on the alledged victim's cell phone going through the courts as we speak- apparently she was bragging about it and had it in mind to go to their apartment for such action. All I can tell you about this is that let the legal process play out. As for Coach Jones, he immediately suspended both from the team an they never came back. Jones also kicked off a recruit who was committed and signed with Tenn. but had an alterecation with his girlfriend. A coach can only do so much, players have to take responsibility for their actions. Can you say that this kind of incident hasn't occurred at uk in the past or for that matter will not occur in the future ?
What about the 2 going on trial this summer for sexual assault, usually when a case there has to be enough evidence to get an indictment. So he kicked off someone who have never been to a UT practice, who is the John Doe still on the team the op's link mentioned?
But a UT athlete getting indicted in Knoxville must have been overwhelming evidence, not too log ago 8 of them left a cop unconcious laying in the street and nothing, it was like it didn't happen. This happened under Fulmer, but UT signed a kid who sexually assaulted a UF coed on a previous official visit. UT has never back away from a football player because of a shady past.

Pathetic. Knoxville and athlete behavior there is a cesspool. Maybe think like a rational human being as opposed to thinking like an idiot fan would help. But whatever.
Right, under Kiffin it was only hushing up robberiesThings/culture has changed under Jones.
Right, under Kiffin it was only hushing up robberies
now under ***** Jones it is hushing up rapes, sexual assaults, and assaults on the very few very scarce good guys at UT who had the nerve to stick up for girls who were brutalized by your band of thugs, criminals, and marauders.
What an awful, awful place Knoxville is, always has been always will be. Shame on any parent who sends their kids there - football players, normal students, especially females.
The accusers in the AJ Johnson deal destroyed their cell phones the very next day and the defense is trying to get the phone records (texts) but the girls lawyers are trying to block it. I know if I was a female and I was raped, I wouldn't be trying to hide evidence that could put these animals in jail. Also in the KNS said all of these accusations happened off campus. This is a quote from the law suite on why the girls are suing. "Girls went to after football game parties where alcohol was being served. The girls drank the alcohol and are now suing the university for not providing a safe environment."
So basically girl goes to party and gets drunk, now sues the university for not providing a safe environment. This is called a money grab.
Lost whatever cred you might have with the mention of the KNS. Knoxville media is an extension of the UT athletic dept, has been for decades. KNS make the Louisville CJ/Lexington HL look like the NY Times.

So its ok to get a girl drunk and rape her? What are you saying, Johnson was a representative of UT,by being a member of the football team. There was enough to indict him which means there was something there, DA's don't present cases to grand juries if there isn't some evidence and grand juries don't indict unless they believe there is something there.
