That's a pretty faulty metric. It precludes changes in the game, rules, participation and investment.
Yale has probably seen their last football championship despite all those ancient wins.
I'll give you that you sick dirty orange puke stain. The game is changing and ol Kentucky seems to not be changing with it. Bravo to Tennessee even tho I hate y'all.

If you're so impressed, UT fan. We can lock whoever in the hell we want to. We don't owe any team or anybody anything. Yeah we're in a significant spot. This is Kentucky. We've been in a few serious slumps and we've always come shining out of them. Its punk'slike you freak out over crap like this just like that idiot TF whatever his name is that's always liking any negative thing about the cats.
Too many posters are taking the bait. OP was pumping Florida in another thread and it became obvious that he/she/it isn't a UK fan.

They've won more tourney games in three years than we have won since 2018.

Our program is a clown show right now.
Man you just made me feel sad! It’s the truth though and I hate it. Lmao. Something has to change but I don’t feel confident about it.

I didn’t see a 1/10th of the defense from ISU last night that they showed us. We just didn’t have the plan to attack it.
Because they have real point guard who would’ve beat them even worse. Man that hurts my heart to say. lol.

Let me explain something to you scott:

Fellow SEC programs have done absolutely nothing but cheer lustily against Kentucky for freaking decades when time after time we were the last SEC team standing in the tournament and playing for a FF or NC. Their fans will openly and loudly sit in-person, live in an arena and cheer against Kentucky in support of any team outside the SEC.

Tennessee fans as a whole are some of the worst, loudmouthed and rudest people I’ve ever met in person. That’s the truth. For those reasons, scott - I sincerely hope UT loses their next game, and I sincerely hope it hurts you personally and intensely along with everyone you know and even your family pets. Yes scott - your family pets…I hope it saddens them deeply.
LOL - I actually appreciate the candor. I’m 58, born and raised in Nashville, so I’ve seen a lot of SEC basketball. I used to despise UK basketball thanks to all the *** kickings you gave us, but over the years I’ve come to appreciate the rivalry. Plus, my wife is a KY girl, so we watch all of the UK and UT games together. Went to my first UT/UK game at Rupp this year and had a great time.

I would much rather have the Elite 8 runs than the regular season wins. Some of you sound like Indiana fans in 2012. “We beat them in the regular season!” so what? The goal is to advance as far as possible in March. They’ve been better than us the last 5-6 years. Beating them in regular season games doesn’t change that. They’ve done better in the NCAA tournament including beating us last year and better in the SEC tournament. Hey we’ve won 4 of 5 though (just not the one that mattered most)

UK has beat them 4 times in the regular season over the past 2 years. But they went further than us in the tournament. Beating us last year in the sweet 16. That makes it worse for me.
Vols 1-0 all time vs Cats in NCAA
Maybe you will get a real coach after 1 more year of Poke

My fear is Barnes retires and they bring back Bruce.
Pearl would crack into the final four.
I do believe Tennessee is the only job that Bruce would leave retirement to take. He would crawl through hot coals to get bak to Knoxville. I think he feels likehe let Tennessee down and would try to make it up to their fans. Watching bruce yesterday at the halftime of the TN/ISU game and he was acting like a Tennessee cheerleader.

I would support this - just keep his son off the staff

I certainly don't have a dog in this fight but how do we shame a team (TN) for not making a final four when we have been the laughing stock of the SEC for several years. When we are good again we can run our mouth but shvt we would be lucky to brag against 8 teams in the SEC. Being #9 in the SEC does not give us the platform to trash talk a team in the elite eight. Let's show some class!!!!!

Based on your entire history of playing basketball, in which you are 0 for 85 attempts at being one of the last four teams standing.

This is why you are unable to act like you’ve been there before. It’s because you’ve…never been there before.
First of all, Hi CUJO, long time no see. I rarely act, I'm pretty genuine. Nothing you posted really refuted what I posted, did it? History would tell us that UT would not be in it's 3rd E8 in row, but they are and history would tell us UK is still dancing, but they aren't are they? History must be a fickle lady.

I was told from a guy that watched multiple practices from both and no comparison between him and Pope. One was excellent and the other just bragging on how he was the best offensive mind ever.

Kentucky basketball has always been the gold standard of SEC basketball. UT fans like myself really appreciate the rivalry, so it sucks to see one of the more knowledgeable fan bases dogging the **** out of us. FF or not, I’m proud of this team and they have represented the SEC well.
UT has had some really unlikeable teams in the past (from our perspective anyway.) I am sure the same can be said from your side about some of ours. We love guys on our team and grow to hate them on others. That being said this years UT team is very likeable, IMO anyway, and unlike others here would not bother me in the slightest to see them win. Best of luck tomorrow.

I think I have read that Bruce thinks Tennessee did not treat him fairly. I am not sure he would want that particular job!

Well, well, well.

Three elite 8s. Still no Final Fours. Each elite 8 loss was worse than the one before it.

Still not jealous. Kentucky fans being jealous of Elite 8s is like OSU and Bama fans being jealous of Citrus Bowls.

UT at its absolute peak is still only marginally better than Kentucky at its second lowest point in our modern history. That’s the point I’m making.

Thou shall not covet thy border rival’s regional finalist position.
