they are hitting .232 and their ERA is 6.31. Both are last in the conference by a comfortable margin. For comparison we are seventh in both categories. Gruver is the only impressive starting pitching I have seen pitch for them. Matt Ramsey is as a bad *** but he is their closer/position player. Friday night could be a tough game, especially if Gruver last long enough to were Ramsey is the only other pitcher UT needs to use. On a side note, South Carolina has only given up 48 runs in 21 conference games. You don't have to be in the 10% to know that is 17ing filthy. Also, Ogden and Parks are battling it out for second in the Sec in the hit by pitch category. They are tied with a few other players at 12, and the leader is up by 5.

They got outscored something like 38-8 versus Vandy last weekend. I think we match up well, but our margin for error is so slim this season that every game scares me. A missed in-between hop by Ogden turns into a grand slam on the next pitch. I've never seen a team so snake bit as this team is.

The latest ESPN tournament projection has us as one of the last 5 in (and Mississippi one of the first 9 out).

Hell, the bears took 2 of 3 from them. Maybe some sweet 3 wolf tshirt mojo would work for us too.
