Saw the above video posted on Gene's Page. After watching him make a few throws I started wondering if he might be someone that Mullen tries lining up under center in certain situations sometime during his career He doesn't have the best arm, but he's very elusive and has a decent enough arm that he's at least a threat to throw. I know Dixon has lined up there some in practice and Bumphis is definitely one I see taking some snaps under center, but why not this guy too?

What do you guys think?

Croom was planning on doing that with him, but he was cleared to late in camp.

Florida came close to offering Davis at the last second and taking him away from us, so methinks Mullen already knows something about him at the QB position. Wouldn't surprise me to see him take a few snaps from back there.

I expected that to happen in the spring. It didn't so I'm not sure it will happen now. I understand the incoming freshmen will give us more depth, but you'd think he would've received a little work.

(unless you want to talk rocket science), but it looks like he ought to get some touches.

I'd almost say he was the best player on the field that I saw in the spring game. He's quick and shifty in the open field, and can make some people miss.

while guys like Riley Saunders (?) and Aaron Encalade (??) played in the Spring game, I'd say Mullen is happy with Davis as a Percy Harvin-type ATH.

(Did Harvin ever line up at QB at UF?)

I am thinking if you want a change of pace under center, why not Relf.

Relf

He has speed, a strong arm, and size. Damn, he needs to pan out this year.
