I hope I have the antibodies in me .

Anyone with even decent credibility?
Tested when? Immediately upon return or after a 14 day quarantine, or on some other imaginary schedule?
Huh?Obviously, his employer. Now why would they test him when he returns? It defeats the purpose.
Thanks for sharing a first hand experience. Sorry to hear about the 2 deaths. Two weeks ago we had an employee do a mandatory test prior to flying to a customer. He was asymptomatic but his test came up positive. We did the contact tracing / testing and 11 other employees were positive but still asymptomatic. All 12 were quarantined. 4-5 of them ended up getting sick within a few days. This shows how testing can help control the spread, although at this point the benefit is less because it's all through the communities already.
Company wide we are just under 400 cases confirmed. We've been running 8-10% hospitalization rate since late spring with 2 fatalities, both in their 40s.

I’m tired of dumbasses running to the ER for a sore throatSuperintendent told us , dont have a clue how they will do it , probably bring in a testing nurse.
We are required to wear them unless welding...lol if heat kills a virus I'm pretty sure I've killed it between the heat & fumes from welding rods ..probably why I've never had the flu & only slight coldsNo masks
I do that anyway, have for years especially during the winter months, that and oregano oil ..Make sure you gargle a lot with mouthwash. You'll be fine.
Must wear one except while weldingCurious at work - what’s your mask policy?
Superintendent?? What is the context for the title?Superintendent told us , dont have a clue how they will do it , probably bring in a testing nurse.
I'm working in Jersey, so I dont have a clueWhere are you going to?
Probably make you responsible for it. That’s how it is handled around here. I do wonder if you’re in a union and how that plays into this?Superintendent told us , dont have a clue how they will do it , probably bring in a testing nurse.
No , my understanding is the gas company & state health department has mandated that any of us who will be leaving & coming back must be testedSuperintendent?? What is the context for the title?
Is he medically trained? Except for the bureaucratic hierarchy what are his qualifications to make such a declaration to you? Is it s shear power play by one who CAN make such a requirement without any knowledge, experience, or training to justify?
It’s about liability.Superintendent?? What is the context for the title?

They are responsible for it . As should be any contractor. Under osha they are supposed to provide a safe workplace.Probably make you responsible for it. That’s how it is handled around here. I do wonder if you’re in a union and how that plays into this?
Can’t the business argue they do provide a safe workplace, but employees that choose to travel are responsible to pass a test before they can return to work (to keep the workplace safe for others)? Again, that’s how it is done around here, but no experience with unions. They are responsible for it . As should be any contractor. Under osha they are supposed to provide a safe workplace.
Not sure what that has to do with business owners and liability. Stay quiet if you’re too stupid, dummie.Stay home if you’re scared, *****

If that was the case employees would be responsible for there own drug test , after all drug testing is to provide a safe work place ...a liability thingCan’t the business argue they do provide a safe workplace, but employees that choose to travel are responsible to pass a test before they can return to work (to keep the workplace safe for others)? We know you’re a dummie. Glad we are all in the know!We know you’re a *****
Fair point. I only know how this virus is being handled by businesses here. Ask for the happy ending if they go with the in house testing. If that was the case employees would be responsible for there own drug test , after all drug testing is to provide a safe work place ...a liability thing

Thanks. The guy that died most recently caught it from a family member. Our cases are trending about 60% from community/family and 40% from work. Our crisis team focuses on active measures to prevent work spread and we give advice on the rest. Thanks for sharing a first hand experience. Sorry to hear about the 2 deaths.
I think company wide (little more than 10k employees) we have had a couple dozen cases and no deaths. Not bad considering we have offices in Aussie, india and china aa well as several in europe. I domt know about hospitalizations. Two weeks ago we had an employee do a mandatory test prior to flying to a customer. He was asymptomatic but his test came up positive. That's a really good job to keep it that low. Our field work tends to put people in close contact so that's caused a difficulty. We've done pretty well in factories and workshops and have had 6,000 or more office workers working from home. The next two months are going to be a real **** show in most places.I think company wide (little more than 10k employees) we have had a couple dozen cases and no deaths. Most of our outside our office work is field work so that probably helps us avoid cases.
We are the opposite. Field work is often scientists spreading out over acres to idenfify wetlands and test soils or walking miles of road. Probably more at risk of being run over. Offices have all been half staffed or totally work from home. We have been lucky. That's a really good job to keep it that low.
