Always been that way TO A DEGREE. Seems when I was in Corporate management we had a host of employee oriented 'rules' protecting their 'rights'. Yes , we were 'paying their bills' BUT we were highly restricted in or making the rules. Seems that lots of employee rights have been vanquished through power plays that have been deemed acceptable in the name of 'public health' and with the overwhelming support of appointed career bureaucrats acknowledged by far too many (IMO) to be all knowing leaders in their chosen field of influence. Now it seems we have deteriorated into a slave owner/employer mentality that has allowed so many to unilaterally assume unprecedented power and impose numerous ill-conceived programs and policies that do not pass the test of being grounded in logic, science, good practice, reason, or the best interest of the public or employee.
