Sometimes if a team has a long layoff, they can kind of lose their rhythm. Whereas, a team that plays in a seven game series sometimes keeps moving along because they had no layoff, and therefore no time to get cold.

I know that sounds crazy, but I've seen it happen before.

But you also have to remember that in the playoffs, it's all hands on deck. They've got the whole offseason to rest. Not saying that the Rays or Rangers will start Price/Lee in game one, but you never know.

And even if they do start of short rest, they will obviously be tired.

The Rays are still being careful with price's arm, and lee has never pitched on 3 days rest, much less 2
