I'll be driving from SD through CO and NM back to MS next week. Looks like a target rich environment on the Front Range for TRH. Gonna hit as many as I can! And I've heard good things about the Rapid City location so definitely going there!!

There are EIGHT frickin TRH in the greater Knoxville area (5 more than all of Mississippi). Will be sending my kids to UT or more likely Knoxville community college!

Texas roadhouse must be like Starbucks. Whatever they put in their goods to make people seek them out, I am immune to. It's not even a good meal here, which says a ton.

When my brother and went to the Reliaquest this January, we ate at The Columbia in Ybor City, the old cigar district. Best food I have ever eaten (and most expensive). The Columbia has been there since 1905 under the ownership of the same family. Damn Texas Roadhouse.

I don't think you can compare TX Roadhouse with The Columbia. Apples to Oranges. Try Sizzin, or Ryans, or Bonanza etc.

There are quite a few options on the way to Tampa. I’d like to hit 2-3 over the holiday weekend. Any suggestions as to which along the I-10/I-75 corridor I should try. Home base is in Pensacola so no need to suggest that or Milton.
thanks in advance

I used to live in that area. Bern's steakhouse is consistently in the top 10 nationally.
charley's steakhouse
Armani's rooftop restaurant at the grand hyatt

Longhorn stays packed in Madison. It’s a mystery to me
So does Olive Garden down the road.

If folks like grade B "steak" like you can pick up at the Kroger and out of a vacuum sealed bag at Applebee's, then let them live their little rodeo. Soak it in A1 and get to chewing until your jaw cramps up.

@PK Dawg , my wife and I are big Texas Road House fans as well. We’ve eaten at several across the southeast as well as on New York State, between Williamsport, PA and Niagara Falls, NY. Never had a bad meal at any. Now, for you Longhorn fans, we eat at the one in Daphne, AL across bay from Mobile beside I-10, the worse steak I’ve ever had anywhere. TRH is tops in my book, and we also enjoy Outback still, but their quality has gone down some IMO.

They do have good green beans and the steak is fine. But it's a steak. I typically avoid steak houses because I can grill one just fine at home.

Just so I'm clear, do the asterisks around "steak" mean you don't think a USDA Choice steak you can buy at Kroger is not really a steak? You can also get Prime there on occasion. Are those also not steaks?
