You're just looking at this the wrong way. If you take a look at the SEC in 2010, you'd think the power resides in the SEC West. But it wasn't 10 short years ago when the power pretty much resided with Florida and Tennessee. I don't know why people think Texas and Oklahoma will dominate the Big 12 forever - that's a fairly new occurrence. Nebraska is (was) a major, MAJOR power in the Big 12...or wherever they are for that matter. They are one of those teams that won't stay down long. Yes, they made bad decisions, like others have, but they are a big money making football factory with a huge backing.
