That's because you don't seem to know what to look for. You can lose 4 starters and be better. We lost 8 players the year before and while we Kept Richards, he lost his starting spot. So we had 4 knew starters and were better. Which literally proves your theory wrong. We lost every starter from the 15-16 team and were far better in 16 -17. Would you disagree?

Yeah, we returned better players those years. I’m not seeing that this year. We have zero post players right now. Bunch of good wings and a solid backcourt if Hagans continues to improve. Better than this year? I’m not seeing it. Not yet.

LMAO, who were those better players we returned? Hagans, Quickley, EJ and Nick are better than anyone we returned those years. Baker is no slouch either. Kid showed he can play good D, is a lot more creative and tough than most people thought. He is far more than a spot shooter. Actually so far, his shooting has been the weak spot of his game here. I'm thrilled to have him back. Then you add in an experienced player like Sestina. We have tons of returning talent. If you can't see that it's because you don't want to.

I think he is embracing it. Started with Travis and now Sestina. Also we are communicating with Blackshear and hopefully the Hausers.

This may be how Cal changes the game again

You said we are communicating with Blackshear. Is there a story on that? Awesome if so!

EDIT: Great news indeed....just looked that up.

We returned a starting Briscoe in 2016-2017. We also added the 6th, 10th, and 12th players in the country in a loaded recruiting class to go along with two senior role players in Willis and Hawkins.

Hagans is a better player than Briscoe and it's really not close. Hell, he is already a better shooter and I don't recall one baseline incident from Hagans. Hagans is the better defender as well. Not even close to a good comparison. We also return Quickley who can be better than Briscoe and may be already. Not to mention keeping Baker who is farther along than Hawkins was. EJ and Nick who are better than Willis was and a veteran Nate Sestina. We also add the #7, #9 and #23 then another 4* in Allen. So what is your argument?

I didn’t compare anyone. You said we didn’t return any starter and I said we did.

I never understood why coaches do not take more transfers. It can add experience too young teams. In the one and era, the excuse of building consistency is made irrelevant.

People seem to think that if Cal can get 7 McD's AA freshmen and 8 JUCO/Grad transfers, then we will be all peachy.

Same people seem to forget there are only 200 minutes available to be played by all members of a team during a regulation college game. Hard to convince a ton of either camp to come to UK when minutes will be limited due to such congestion.
Seems like for a lot of the kids now adays that winning a title isn't that big of a deal.....just get to the NBA and make the $$.
