It's just not my experience. I have a gay family member and she's never been the same since coming out. When I've spoken to her and some of her gay friends, just speaking broadly, it seems the issues run deeper than just happiness from being accepted as gay.

Because it's a very dark lifestyle. Study after study has shown the problems within this culture yet everyone acts like it is no different than heterosexuals. Never mind the crazy amount of partners, STDs, HIV, high drug use, the high amount of domestic abuse in lesbian relationships, etc.

Do I know gay people who don't this general issue? Yep but there's plenty who do.

Your gay friends probably aren't opening up to you on a personal level. Lots of gay people hold their problems very close to the vest.

Society has made strides to help the issues of family by such things as demand adoption or scientific advancements, but the problems are still real. It's not worth discussing with people who simply refuse to look at it anyway but normal. My question about the science changing is never directly answered. And we all know why.

You've got your experiences and I've got mine. I see nothing wrong with homosexuals that want to investigate their sexuality and long to become more normalized. My older sis is considering therapy from a "tolerant" psychologist. My family is proud of that. If she wants to live a normal life but is struggling with inner demons, I applaud it. If you're a "happy homosexual" and everything is smooth for you fine. But enough of heterosexuals with normal lifestyles thinking they've got the high ground on this topic. As heterosexuals we have no idea what gay people are really dealing with.

Doctor's (with parent's consent) are giving a girl, who happens to be a minor, testosterone drugs to "transition" from male to female? The problem being is that no amount of testosterone (which is nothing more than a PED in this case) is going to actually change her sex from female to male.

She's cheating. If she or her confused parents had an ounce of respect for wrestling, or for the other girls wrestling they would excuse themselves from competition.

This. I don't see how they can be proud of that state title and think it's 100% legitimate.

I know why they didn't let her/him wrestle the boys. She's biologically a female, and girls already have a separate division in the sport in Texas. However, she probably liked wrestling the girls, if you know what I mean. Maybe let those matches go on a little longer than she needed to. Take them down, let 'em up, do it again. Probably put 'em in the damn grapevine every match. Someone should look into that. That's sexual harassment OR even assault!

This is a tough situation. This individual wants to wrestle against boys, but the cannot do so by the rules. So he must wrestle against the girls. However, he is taking testosterone which is against the rules in any situation. He doesn't want to cheat but he is violating the rules and shouldn't be allowed to wrestle. It's not fair, but then life isn't fair. So maybe this is just one of those tough luck stories where there isn't a happy ending.
