We need to start Cox, Boyd, play Banks and Thames on D right now. I would take Zach Smith out of the lineup right now. The guy just isn't an SEC safety. Banks, if he's going to be a cornerback needs to play every game and significant minutes. What about safety? I think he's built for a safety vs. corner.

Question for those who know - What's easier to play? SS or FS? I would like to know - but we've got to get the best players out there quickly. I'm going to guess that our first year recruits are better than MOST of Croom's recruits. What about moving Charles Mitchell to FS and give more minutes to Wade Bonner at SS?

Be more creative in offensive playcalling and i think we will be fine. I'm not exactly sure what to do with Russell. I'm worried about one thing. If Mullen gets Newton, then i have this feeling that no matter how good Russell is in practice, he will want Newton to play regardless, because of their past relationship. If Relf doesn't get any better than he is right now, then Russell's RS gets burned --- Mullen isn't concerned about getting QBs - he will get them (or he at least thinks that he can get a QB every year)

I don't think we are as bad as it looks on defense. I think that Auburn is much, much better than people expected. They will beat OleMiss and LSU this year.

Play THE BEST PLAYERS AVAILABLE - I DON'T CARE IF THEY ARE TRUE FRESHMEN OR NOT - play the best and get ready for the next game!

I think Mullen said he wanted to stick to the upperclassman for the SEC opener. Now that he figured out that it didnt work, I think we see a huge shake up next week. Banks and Thames should see the field. Boyd and Cox should see more playing time. I would also like to see some speed at OLB with Skinner maybe playing. I think we see a different MSU defense next week. Mullen seems like the kind of guy that doesnt put up with below average types of performances, whether it be from the players or from his own staff. I bet Torbush has Mullen crawling all over him this week.

Mississippi is way over-ranked, but they're still a pretty damn good team. Better than Auburn for sure.</p>
