Thank him? He had just total blown two calls, Pike had just gone off on him. Suprised he didnt blow it dead before the shot.
the refs were flat out terrible missed out of bounds calls and the most agregious was Illinois setting screens; I have never seen a team do this but EVERY time they set a screen they absolutely threw their elbows out and there was not one call the whole game!!
I've seen teams move on picks OK but this was outrageous!!

Thank the refs? High knees has become a meme. He tries so hard to insert himself into the story with his look at me look at me persona. As others have said he just came off 2 phantom calls and 2 missed calls in the previous 4 trips up the floor.

He actually inhibited Aces ability to get to the rim and became an additional defender not screener. If Ace missed that lay up would High Knees have called a foul? Doubt it.

THAT guy was the f$@king worst!!!!

It seemed every blown call (and there were a number of horrifically bad ones) was his.

I personally didn’t notice the screens but i did notice Illinois hacking, grabbing and literally giving two-hand-pushes in the back all second half on rebounds (THAT is why they were getting the rebounds!). Several plays (at least 3) our guy had the ball and they practically mugged the ball away

The harsh reality is that there are fouls that could be called on every possession such as hand checking, setting screens and positioning for rebounds. Some games are won on the foul line with teams taking 15-30 foul shots.

I asked earlier and will ask again. How did that crew not review the out of bounds call going into a timeout late in the game with just over three minutes to go? The whole arena saw the replay and let them know they blew the call.
Absolutely I can’t believe it we were yelling so loud it was a completely obvious call. Why no review??

ILL big men were hooking and extending arms all night long and no calls. I think refs were consistent in letting both teams play most of the game.

I don’t think they were allowed to review that.

Because they can only review those with under 2 minutes to go; Even our clock guy was against us!! On the 10 second violation he started the clock way before Sommerville came down with the ball and he only had about 5 seconds to get the ball across the time line unfortunately the refs don't count anymore and we got a 10 second violation
as an aside they obviously don't call 3 seconds EVER!!!

Absolutely correct on the 10 second call and there have been no 3 second calls at the RAC on either team this year. There were 3 called last year - it’s pretty easy to track that stat manually.

Definitely had a few go our way and a few not buy whistle was very balanced. Instead I’m thanking our FT shooting and Illinois 3pt shooting.

Can’t review but when the crowd was heckling him - he just stood pointing ILL ball, all through the timeout with a smile on his face. It was a bad look.
Happened right in front of me and I did the two arms out palms up “WTF” gesture to the ref. He looked right at me and grabbed his wrist indicating that Harper actually fouled him. The thing is he was right Harper did grab the guy’s arm (it was clear on the replay). While true, it was also true Harper didn’t come close to touching the ball.

Point here is if he wasn’t calling the foul the ball should have gone to RU. I think the smirk on his face was his way of saying “you know Harper fouled on that play, right?” Anyway we’ve had him before and he isn’t very good.

I haven't watch my DVR yet but in real time, he could have called Sommerville three times for not being set on that high pick.

We have some of the worst operators in the business. Can't tell you how many times they screw up the clock. I notice the blunders multiple times a season in all the sports. Not just basketball. **** Tennessee knows how to create a true home court advantage. What did they add 5-6 seconds in the infamous RU-Tenn clock game?

There was a moment —forget when exactly — when that same ref was getting an earful from Pike and then as soon as the ref crossed half court, he was getting another earful from Underwood. That’s when you know a ref is having a bad night.

Absolutely, throwing elbows all night and no calls.

I had flashbacks last night to sitting in the RAC when Rutgers was in the Big East and UConn, BC, Cuse, Nova would fill the RAC with obnoxious fans (that part didn't happen last night) and then get the advantage from the refs all night. I remember one game against Villanova when they pressed us full court for an entire half - physical as hell - lots of fouls - and ended the half with maybe 1 foul actually called.

Illinois' center steps on I think it was J Will's foot, rolls his ankle, foul on us. that was an awful call. And Illinois inbounds the ball, their guard tweaks his ankle, probably walks and instead they get a do over and get to inbound the ball again? Is that even a rule? Those guys sucked terribly last night.

Why is the ref even in that position? What a friggin clown
Nowhere in the flow of a game is a ref supposed to be anywhere near where this "look at me" found himself. He is supposed to flow down the sideline/alley until he meets the baseline and then can float along the baseline. To find yourself 15 feet within the field of play and foul line extended has no justification.

Also on the "do over" inbound, the inbounder travelled. He lost the ability to roam the baseline at the stoppage. He has to maintain a pivot or stationary stance. He took 2 steps while he was out of bounds. So many missed calls.

But I’m certain your small crank disappoints Mrs Shelby. That’s the energy you give off.
Shelby has no tolerance for morons. Next to lacking basic math aptitude, spelling abominations are the next best proof of low intelligence.

This site is a popular gathering spot for the mouth-breather crowd.

I would venture to guess that stalking a message board waiting to pounce on misspellings is probably not a common trait of the best and brightest.

Most people are likely accessing this site on a mobile device with their thumbs and doing so to pass time and not necessarily treating each word like it’s a legal document.

Your bit is pointless and boring.

Ahh, that makes sense. Some other word auto-corrected to agregious. Shelby wonders the language it’s a word in.

But yes, it irritates Shelby immensely seeing such frequent spelling catastrophes by adults, or people pretending to be.

You calling Shelby out doesn’t change the fact they are idiots who probably spend hours each day mesmerized by shiny objects.

Spelling is an indicator of basic intelligence.

I have literally never seen that. Guy missteps, possibly walks and the refs STOP PLAY and they get a do-over??!? Seriously, WTF was that?!

You are either pathologically insecure, just an ahole, or someone on the spectrum somewhere. Just in case it’s the latter, I will tap out.
