for saying exactly what I said the entire first half and all of last year. Some people will call you a crybaby, but all you did is speak the 100% truth.

do you really believe that going off in a public postgame interview was the correct forum for saying that? Even if Stansbury was the worst coach on the planet, there is no room on any team for insubordination like that. Right or wrong, I believe that Kodi will soon find out that he is only making things worse for himself. I would have thought that the last two years would have allowed him to discover this point that most of us learn by the time we're 10, but apparently Kodi is even more immature than I thought.

and I feel his pain. I think you handle it privately if at all possible, but look at the history. He had to put up with this exact same crap all of last year. He talked to Kirby about it and nothing happened. He can't just sit on his hands and take it the rest of his career. He had expectations about his role and bam, first game he rides the bench most of the first half.

We played 9 guys in the first 6 minutes of this game. 9. This included Benock and Wendell Lewis. 9 in the first 6 minutes. We were killing Rider and we let them back in the game.

Was it a tactful thing to do bitching to the media? No. But here's a kid who is in his junior year who is dealing with the same stuff he's dealt with for two years. He had his freshman year burned for literally a handful of minutes. He got benched his second year for half a season even though he was clearly one of our better players. Now he opens his third season with a loss to Rider. He's been told that he and Phil Turner can't be on the court at the same time (??). He watches Stewart get to play poorly with impunity. He watches marginal players significant minutes. He watches baffling substitutions while he sits on the bench. I wish Kodi hadn't bitched to the press. But if I were him I'd be really frustrated too.

The coach won't play him. Well, at least he came up with the perfect solution - confirm what many had already thought about him, that he is an immature punk.

I'm sure his motives are all pure as well. I mean, I'm sure he has what's best for the team in mind. He's such a leader and such a team player.
