but when they put up the offensive rankings for his tenure, there was really no way you could argue that he shouldn't have been fired/resigned.

Pitiful offense, great person, couldn't get it done...Props to MSU for hiring him.

Newsflash: Lou Holtz is still a dumbass.

basically he applauded MSU for hiring him but said it wasn't working out for either side. Said that the bottom line was 21-38, but that Croom is well respected and will land somewhere else in the coaching profession.</p>

Not in those exact words but he said it was time for a change when looking at the overall program and the direction it was going. Said Croom would be coaching somewhere in the NFL or college but his career was not over.

we fired his *** for ****** coaching, not that he resigns. this has the feel of coaching at Miss State is a tough job, cant win there, not my fault we sucked, etc.
I dont know, Im just glad hes gone. Maybe now we get a good young enthusiatic coach that can recruit and win!

to throw in there that we're "just MSU" trying to play with the Auburns, Alabamas, etc., Croom brought lots of players to Starkville, and the kicker of "he has taken them to another level."

Yeah, basement level. Sub-basement.
