Too many want Tebow to fail because he's never failed before. Tebow admitted he wasn't perfect but it sounds like the writer just wants to get rid of Tebow after one year in the NFL. I believe that is why folks are upset with him. Why not give him 2-3 years to learn and grow.... like most developmental QB's in the NFL are given?

I think many, especially Esiason and Hoge, have gone way overboard with their criticism of Tebow. I think most of it is due to the jealousy of the attention that he recieves moreso than his religion though. He got to start 2 or 3 games last year and played pretty well. Certainly he played as well as Rex Grossman or some of the other career backups have. Tebow may never be in the top half of NFL QBs but I still think that given a chance he can be a servicable starter in the right system.

I don't think anybody is putting Tebow in the Pro Bowl; I wonder why Reily went there, of all places. "Tebow worship"? When and where . . . It's way to early to judge whether he'll make it. I've seen him play well and I've seen him play not so well. But I don't think he's been in the league long enough to make a final judgment. We all know that being an intense and ferocious competitor won't hurt, and Tebow is definitely that.. It's not enough but it won't hurt. Maybe Cutler could learn something from him.

Tebow is a professional football player who had a chance to be the man. He failed. He may succeed at some point but for right now he isn't doing a good job. A job he gets paid MILLIONS to do. But, if journalists give him **** for that, just like they did Michael Vick early in his career, all of a sudden a bunch of stupid douchebags want to make it a religious argument. No one gives a **** that Tebow is a Christian, this is about football and right now he is sucking at football. If I sucked at something I got paid millions to do I think people might give me some **** about it too.

as being openly christian. One of them is throwing it under the bus and one living it out. It is fine if you want to say Tebow isn't going to cut it, he might not. I just don't remember every media personality jumping on the bus this strongly for "Leinart sucks and isn't ready" or "If it wasn't for Henne the Dolphins might have a chance." Neither of those guys were worth a team starting them but they sure did get a chance. Rex Grossman hanging around this long should be headlines if you are talking about "not having the skills to be a starting quarterback." Typically the media tries to argue that it is impartial but they are making fools of themselves and making it unbearable to watch. If Tebow doesn't pan out do they instantly all become Nostredamus? I predict that Terrell Pryor won't be a quality starting quarterback in the NFL. I'm a genius.

He had 5 touchdowns vs. 3 int's. Also 43 rushes with a 5.3 average, 6 touchdowns and only one fumble. Not the worst rookie numbers ever.
