Don't say fielding, hitting for power, hitting for average, arm strength, or running speed.

Make one up, cause Ogden is not an SEC caliber baseball player.

I am not sure Ogden could start at oak grove or sumrall or a half dozen other high schools in MS. He is simply awful. He can't hit, he can't field, he has a poor arm. I'm not sure what Cohen and co. Saw in him because it's pretty clear to the SEC he sucks.

in Texas, then he became the best ss in the SEC, and according to his comments on the John Cohen Show last week, he may be one of the best in the country. I mean, who knew?

""I think that Jonathan had a great fall. He has tremendous range and great arm strength. He runs the bases well. And the bat really came on as the fall progressed. I think he can be a top of the order or a bottom of the order guy. He gives you a runner, arm strength, great range, leadership. I think he is going to be a big change for us.

He's got arm strength to air mail it over the first baseman. To run the bases well you need to consistently get on base. Yea, he's definitely a bottom of the order guy. And a big change for us? I'm not so sure, we sucked pretty bad last year as well.

Yes, Cohen actually said he may be the best SS in the nation.

Hell, he's got to say stuff like that since this is a guy he brought in, so he's at least got to try and make "his guy" look good somehow, b/c it's painfully obvious that he may be the worst hitting SS we've ever had. It might be hard to find a SS in SEC history that started every game batting well below .100 in conference play.

About what he is good at, he might be better at bunting than anyone we've ever had. If it weren't for his bunt singles, he'd probably have 2 hits all year

He wouldn't beat out Chase Luwallen, and I don't think he will next year when Luwallen is on our team.

Ogden is a good defensive SS- despite this weekend, but I don't think he will ever hit. He couldn't hit in high school or JUCO. He did hit 10 home runs in JUCO, but I thought that was kind of odd given his batting average. That kind of told me that the fences are pretty close in there.

...it seems the more Ogden proves he is way over his head by playing SEC baseball, the more Cohen is determined to start him.
