Thanks to team for not showing up against LSU, A&M, or OM...

I am surrounded by LSU and A&M folks. LSU was bad enough, but this A&M team is not good. The way MSU fails to meet high expectations makes me very worried about the football season.

There is nothing that should prevent the 2014 football team from achieving .....................................

7-5 or possibly even 8-4, plus a lower tier bowl. Your concern is misplaced.

That is exactly why I haven't sprouted any wool from these articles on Dak and our defense.....that's how the Injuns get ya.

But, but ,but, Mullen said he was going to take us to Atlanta, and win "championships". When is this suppose to happen?

This baseball team definitely has made me expect a Liberty Bowl or Birmingham Bowl next year.

Just can't put myself through having big expectations again. Hell even our crappy basketball team could not achieve my meager expectation of a .500 record.

One big difference. Our football team this fall deserves high expectations. This baseball team, not so much. I said we were overrated back before the season even started. We'll win 8 games minimum this fall.

i get what you are trying to say, but this is apples to oranges.

the baseball team was a consensus top 10 team (top 5 in some) and here we are with 3 weeks to go with our tournament lives very much in question. huge disappointment nationally.

now, juxtapose that with our football team, we dont even crack the top 25 in every notable pole. i bet we arent even voted better than 5th in the west in the sec coaches poll, but i have a strong feeling we will do better than that.

point is, from a national expectations standpoint, its no comparison. if we flop in baseball, we **** the bed (which we most certainly did), but if we do the same in football, its just the status quo.

If some of you are truly implying that the outcome of our baseball team's season will affect our football team, I think my head will explode. Our fanbase takes pride in bringing stupidity to a whole new level.
