When are the Mannings going to get over their Heisman envy. Johnny was just trying to replicate a typical game day. It's Saturday, suit up around noon and hit the field hung over after a night of drinking and slaying 20 year old poon. Johnny should of told Archie 17 you I'm taking my **** to the Ken Stabler QB camp.

Yeah, people from Drew and Philadelphia normally fall into the category of "coonasses"...

sorry but they don't claim those places. They are all Loseianna now. That's why it's puzzling why so much *** kissing goes on the state of Mississippi. The one that plays for the Broncos is alright.

Eli used to do the same BS in Oxford. It just wasn't as high profile because he could not win the big game like Johnny Football.

Saw an interview with Stabler a few years ago. Very funny guy. He was talking about how at Alabama everyone was terrified of the Bear and how many rules he had. Then he went to the Raiders and he said they only had 1 rule. Show up at 1:00 Sunday ready to play.

Several years ago Eli Gold was wrapping up a Tide loss with excuses and "what ifs" and "the better team didn't win" type crap. Then he turned to Kenny for his insight and Kenny said "Eli, I saw absolutely nothing out there today that could convice me we are a good football team." Gotta love The Snake.

Met him before the 07 game. He was just prowling around the stadium early. He was very nice. And he was my favorite NFL QB when I was a kid. I loved his color work for Alabama. He would call a spade a spade & not mince words.

Never forget this, I was working maintenance for convenience store on 49 in Hattiesburg way back in 89, was working on pump, here comes a corvette stingray, top down, big haired blonde, and none other than the "snake"! I stopped what I was doing and pumped his gas, he went in and paid, loaded up and gone! I was like damn!

As I recall, Eli got schooled by a guy named Fant...

I thought ya'll were ALWAYS a big game. Ole Johnny did beat Alabama. Pretty damn big game in the SEC

Too bad Fant's O-Line might have been an average 3A ms highschool OLine. He never reached his potential and had just as much talent at the time as Eli. He was just surrounded by ****. Same thing if you take the two starting NFL Lineman for A&M last year and Johnny has an average year. His backside was locked down, allowing him to do what he does best. Not taking anything away from his year, but you stick him on a team with **** OLine, let alone one missing a couple NFL 1st rounders, he would have average stats. Look at McElroy, he would be average at best with an average OLine. Most QB's are elevated to the elite status, because they are surrounded by a bunch of average/above average players, and a few elite players. Cant have any weak links in the chain or the QB play/stats will suffer. Croom could have had his pick of the best QB's to ever throw a football, and the guy would have been flippin burgers at Mugshots after 3 years behind his **** OLines. Not one QB is propelled into greatness by the pure ability of himself. It takes some help from other areas.

When exactly was it that Eli got schooled by Fant? Better yet show me where Fant schooled ANY other SEC QB. You need to use these ** when you make comments like that.

Well this thread really went downhill quickly. Johnny Football appears to have a wonderful attitude and work ethic.

He's too sorry to show up and participate at the camp for middle school and high school kids because he can't get his *** out of bed? I know everyone here hates Archie, but how ****** do you have to be to make him throw you out of his camp? He seems like a pretty laid back guy. I think JFF just sucks at life.

I dread the college football coverage this year, because he will be talked about ad nauseum.

I guess things are getting pretty slow when the man-love for Fant returns. Fant was as big a piece of **** as the rest of that group was. And there's not even close to any comparison between him and Eli (who didn't exactly have great OLs to play behind either).

Well, we usually see them each year at the Neshoba County Fair.

I'm not going to argue with you about whether they call MS or LA home. It makes sense to me that LA is their home. But, given their continued contact with MS in Philly and Oxford and having relatives in MS, I'm sure they still consider MS a part of their lives and don't think of themselves as "all LA," whatever that means.

2001 Egg Bowl In his Frist start as a Sophomore...

Would say a 187.6 rating is somewhat higher than 95.8 but who counting? Madkin had gone out the previous week against Ark with an ankle/lower leg injury and Fant outplayed Eli in his first start. Too bad he was surrounded by a **** team that had already fallen off the cliff.

And Patdog you need to revisit the old videos of these years and/or you eye doctor, if you can even come to say that both teams had comparable OLines during the same time. You are either too damn old to remember that far back, or too young whilst still shitting in your diaper during these years.

Nothing to see here. It's all a big misunderstanding. Johnny thought he could take all the Manning Passing Academy classes on-line when he signed up**

One good game does not make a good QB. Here are their season stats that year:

Fant:
2001 NCAA Mississippi State Bulldogs 21 9 94 170 55.3 1352 8 9 4.7 5.3 150.2 8.0 127.0

I know which one I'd take. And yes, Fant was ******** for pussing out on spring practice before his SR season. I knew when Jackie let him just waltz back on the team we were screwed that fall.
