He took that ball away from the defender.

Every time I see LSU play, I find myself thinking about which of their star receivers I want to draft in my dynasty fantasy league.

I was going to comment on Mettenberger's toughness....

After that hit, since I thought for sure he'd broken something, then they mention his mom is standing behind him. I get family seeing you in the locker room after you've been carted off, but still on the sideline? Is this a common occurrence and I've just never noticed?

I've seen that happen quite a bit. But even if it wasn't, I don't see where the issue is.

Miles can recruit like a mother17er

Which is a good thing, because he can't coach his way out of a paper bag. LSU's superior athletes constantly bail Miles out with his goofy play calling, horrible clock management and tendency for his teams to come out flat against lesser competition.

Miles coached a team to go 99 yards for a TD with 2 minutes left with a freshman backup QB who had never thrown a TD pass, a freshman backup center, a backup right tackle, and without its best WR. And he's won 93 games in 9 years in the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football history. He's one of the best coaches in the country.

Jeez Les, sorry I ruffled your feathers. As I said, recruiting superior athletes can make most any coach look good. Superior athletes will beat inferior athletes most of the time. But how many game has Miles blown with his stupidity? Quite a few. Saban built that LSU monster, Miles is just the caretaker.

Miles is not a great recruiter. LSU recruits itself...only game in the state. A monkey 17ng a football could win there

He's blown a few. All coaches have. But he's won a whole lot more. The only thing that matters is wins. And Les has more of them than just about anyone.

Weren't you and c34 the only ones on the "Miles is better than Saban" bandwagon 2 years ago? Miles is an uninvolved CEO type coach that is lucky as hell to have John Chavis. Miles has an offensive background and LSU has always been below average on offense until he got Cam Cameron.
