1) GT vs GA is a big rivalry and we all know how emotions can change things in those games.

2) I think we all believed that LSU was a better team then they seemed this year due to bad QB play.

This Jefferson kid may not be their next big time QB, but he is having aheck of a game tonight and its definitely helps.

they are playing defense tonight...they have been good on offense all year except for the turnovers. Defense is the difference for them

I thought their DBs were the weakest link for LSU this year. GT cant throw all game so that negates that weakness.

so I think that point stands. Their D wouldnt have had to work so hard if the QB wasnt giving a TD to half their opponants.

actually shows how badly LSU underachieved this year and it confuses me why The Hat took 13 games to figure out that Jefferson was the best QB he had on his roster.

It looks like GT had Jackie Sherrill as a guest coach for their preparation for LSU. They can't do anything on offense, they went away from what they do best for some God unknown reason- a la Jackie throwing to Kendall Watkins in the 95 Peach Bowl instead of trying to plow down the other team, and not throwing to Moulds, although there were extenuating circumstances there, GT can't stop their offense, LSU's making miracle plays and everything they are doing works, and GT's ST's are melting down.

I swear.

The funniest thing to me is they had that Paul McGuire guy on the field to "break down" GT's offense, and they've been completely destroyed.

Jefferson is not the same QB he was back in August...getting 3 weeks to evaluate a true Freshman to decide if he should be your starting QB is not enough- nor is it enough time for him to learn everything going on...

He has had experience now and he has had a month of practice to get ready for this game...But they are running the ball all over Tech, that helps alot...and the defense finally making some plays has been huge for them....

Jefferson didnt look this good against UPig and their D is nowhere near as good as Tech's...practice time makes a huge difference to an immature QB

you apply that standard to LSU's coaches and QB, but you don't apply it to any coach or player at MSU.

Carroll had all that practice time for the Liberty Bowl and got a good defensive effort- how did he look? What happened in that game that should have made me optimistic or feel like something great was just around the corner?

Turns out i was right wasnt I?

You go out of your way to give LSU the benefit of the doubt, but the team you allegedly support does not get the same treatment, in fact, you go out of your way to figure out how to **** on any accomplishment MSU coaches or players achieve. And I'm not just talking about football. That's why people can't stand your sorry ***.

Jefferson was a true freshman. He has had a whole football season to get himself comfortable.

And the other thing I agree with is that LSU's secondary was their weakest part which didn't equate to GT success.
