But you know what I meant. The fanbase's slobering love affair with Brees is quite redonkulous. Farve in his best years at GB never got that kind of blind love. Only one I can think that comes close is Manning...Peyton that is.

You wouldn't have had a love affair with Cam Newton if he would have won State the national championship. Hell, even a SEC Championship.

Look, I'm taking nothing away from the guy...let's get that straight. The guy is making history...literally.

I just get frustrated by how the fanbase has suddenly expoded 10 fold in the last 2 years, and they all claim glory off of Brees's accomplishments. There are 50 other guys making a difference on the team too...that guy will be there first to say that.</p>

blind love? Sorry, but there is nothing blind about it. The city of New Orleans has always loved the Saints (See Deuce McCallister, Rickey Jackson, Sam Mills) and when you have a guy that is one of the best at his position and is one hell of a person, what do you think is going to happen?

I understand you are not a Saints fan, but would you not love having a person and player like Brees to be the face of your franchise?

But just a few posts up you say this:

So which is it? Is it just Brees? Or are there 53 guys on the team that deserve credit? I'm anxiously awaiting your expert opinion.

I was speaking from the perspective of most Saints fans on that one, sorry if confusing.

My later post about 50 others on the team is my position on the matter. Just clarifing, since it was asked of me.
