Sure are assuming a lot aren't you chief?

So we are going to start kicking people out of the stadium for ringing a cowbell? Pretty sure when Ole Miss had the ball in OT they would be hustling to get the 20,000 people and cowbells I heard out of the stadium.

You are so full of ****. Does it stink? Are you also scared to leave your house at night?

Ring all game every game.

Auburn was a first offense and 5K. The Rebs were fined 5K after the Egg Bowl last season. 2nd offense is 25K

Honestly I would rather them do away with them totally than police the **** out of our bell behavior. Everyone yelling seems to make more noise. I wonder if it's a fact though.

Well, the next fine is up to 50K, then open to vote on changing the cowbell rules. Yes, so by all means keep on ringing them and costing the school a ton of money and a chance that we won't be able to bring cowbells in games anymore. Keep ringing them dumbasses. Makes perfect sense to me

It makes perfect sense to you because you are a sheep. Don't be a sheep. Break out of your shell and realize that even if they ban cowbells again, we can still bring them in the game just like before. Just because that little rent-a-cop (the one that tries to tame your flock) says you can't bring it in, does not mean that you cant bring it in. Mike Slive (and the other "rule" makers).... and you can kiss my ***.

And maybe you will get a little whiskey accidentally spilt on you if you sit in front of my crew at games. Chalk it up to being at a ******* SEC football game. People like you are the reason I have to yell even louder on third downs. It's not a Chicago concert, it's an SEC football game...... WE do what we want.

Dude, I don't know who the Hell bonedaddy is or where he sits and don't give a 17. Glad he sits his *** in a box then. More power to him. I've sat in the boxes before and most in there are too busy eating, drinking, and socializing to ring a bell. So he drives a new GMC 4x4 with a spit cup in the cupholder. So be it.

If they monitored bells versus yells, yells would be louder. Besides, cowbells reinforce agrarian rural image...sorry but truth might hurt..thx

The rest of the SEC is just ******** that MSU has one of the few....

...Southern traditions that wasn't banned by the 14th Amendment or the 1965 Civil Rights Act. Let me give you a clue- Ole Miss wasn't the only SEC school to wave Rebel flags.

It's Slive's world, we're merely living in it

If they do ban the bells I'll simply whip my keys out and jangle those bitches. You idiots calling people ******** know for a fact you can't fully control the actions of 55k people in one arena. At least I hope you do. We're simply being setup for a couple of rounds of financing before the inevitable "ban" takes place.

Slive avoids the simple solution...

Again, if the SEC was serious about crowd noise, then the conference would spend a small amount of money to buy decibel meters and hire two people to stand on opposite sides of the field at the line of scrimmage. When the noise exceeds a predetermined level, the game is stopped until the noise level subsides. This would work in EVERY stadium and would be unbiased.

To be honest, this was all a lot easier when the damn things were banned. We just ignored the ban, you didn't have to worry about then to ring and when not to ring, and there were no fines(that I recall).
I posted something along these lines after the initial compromise and got destroyed. I felt Stricklin should have said something along the lines of "we will continue to diligently work to enforce the rules of the SEC regarding artificial noisemakers" while having his fingers crossed in the pockets of his slacks.

Sure are assuming a lot aren't you chief? Chief, really?

So we are going to start kicking people out of the stadium for ringing a cowbell? Yep

Pretty sure when Ole Miss had the ball in OT they would be hustling to get the 20,000 people and cowbells I heard out of the stadium. Nope, it would already be understood by the fanbase by the last game.

You are so full of ****. Does it stink? Nope, just informed. You are arrogant though.

Are you also scared to leave your house at night? Nope, I have a pretty comfortable home and lifestyle.

Ring all game every game

And lastly, I would like to add how folks with similar opinions as you are unable to discuss this without personnel attacks.

if you are 43, then you and i were at state the same years.... the banned years. i don't recall going to a game without a cowbell though. so sorry, it's a silly rule that can be voted down at any time by people who don't enforce the same rule on any other artificial noise at any other member school. this is, and seems will remain, the "no cowbell" rule. if we had a cheeseball song like "rocky top" it seems would could pipe that the entire game over the loud speakers and never have to worry again with this rule.

My problem is that the Bonedaddy that's sits a couple of rows in front of me rings when we are on offense. He will stand up and start ringing while our offense is in the huddle and ring until the snap, he then sits down and watches the play. When we are on defense , sometimes he will ring and sometimes not.
On a slightly different subject, I was in Swimming Pools of Tupelo yesterday and had the opportunity to ring compare the Battle Bell to the bells that most people have and the BB is a lot louder and has a more ring than the dull clank of the usual bell. The clanger attachment didn't seem very substantial but I could be wrong.
