I like the rule of protecting the catcher, but that judgement call was BS judgement.
The replay was validation of that.

the catcher gets in the face of the runner afterwards and the Fla player backing up the play sticks his face in the USM players face and also pops off a few words. The umpire got totally caught up in the moment. It was a baseball play where the ball and the player get there practically at the same time and the player had no where else to go. What was he supposed to do? It was total crap. When the ump sees that replay he will feel like an idiot cause he sure looked like one making the call.
