That was the best win in the HUMP ever.

but there's no way it tops beating #1 Arkansas in 1994, the 2002 Kentucky game (a game we trailed by nearly 20 at one point in the first half), or the 1991 league title-clinching win over LSU.

We were down big and went on something like a 42-8 run to blow them away. I remember Brian Price having a big night that night. (Yes, the run was that big)

the 2002 UK game where Mario Austin hit the 3 at the buzzer to send to OT, we were down 21-2 to start the game.

Not sure but I think Florida had 30+. Awesome game and a huge crowd but similar comeback.

if you arbitrarily choose the half as your point of reference? The point is these were all great comebacks and all comparable. Fortunately for us, there are many more great memories and comebacks in MSU basketball history, particularly in the Stansbury era.

Beating Shaq, for the second time, on our home floor in the last game of the season for a share of the SEC title was great. I stormed the floor with a thousand others and found myself under the net holding the ladder while our guys cut down the net.

But I have to mention in...90 I think it was we played Ole Miss at The Hump in a multi-overtime (4 I think) game in which Cameron Smoke Burns was bouncing free throws off the rim twice and in on the final shots of one of the overtimes.

That Florida game in 95 was awesome. Anyone remember Whit Hughes "long snapping" the ball through his legs around mid court to a streaking Marcus Bullard for a dunk (i think it was bullard)? One of the most unbelievable plays....

dramatic comeback I can ever remember. We were down 46-31 with about 14 minutes to go in the second half and went on a 39-1 run to win 70-47. I was there and I've never seen a game that looked hopeless turn around into a total blowout the other way. Wildest game ever for sure.

I'm fairly certain Dale Brown held him out due to injury. But a great game never the less!

No, it was not drugs, I'd leave that to you!
Might be a drink or two, or old age.
I specifically remember that Jackson was on fire, and about the only one that took a shot,(or was permitted to) during the four overtimes.

And in my opinion, that is why we won!

The game where we won the championship had no Chris Jackson and Shaq was on the bench with a leg problem. It was the coming out party for one Gert Hammick (sp?).

if I may - your last basketball game was in 2004. Your first football game in a lot years was the LA Tech game and you have lived in Louisiana and Mississippi. How in the hell do you never go to a game?

I mentioned his name because he was on LSU's team. And I'll point out, again, to you like I pointed out to all the corn dogs that State did beat LSU and a healthy Shaq in Baton Rouge earlier that year, so I didn't want to hear any injury smack.

you can get him tickets and invite him to whatever tailgate you plan on attending this upcoming season. Of course, he'll call you the day before and stiff you on the tickets.

I had no desire to go drive 5 hours to watch a Croom coached team. Now that Mullen is coaching, I plan to make at least 1 game a year.

As far as basketball, I have not done my part of getting back and need to do better. I had planned to take my kids last year and HD was very kind in offering his tickets, but White Death and Ice was in the forecast and I had to regrettably cancel the trip.

I have been to two baseball series the last couple of years and will continue to make those as well.
