Tenn is killing it with 3 cities.
I'm shocked no dakotas, Montana, or anywhere in Alaska did not make the list. There is nothing in those states unless you love snow, or want to see Mount Rushmore every day

This isn't really ranking on preference.. but more on hard facts like crime, schools, economy. I'm a snow and wilderness type, but can see why people wouldn't want to live in Montana or Alaska.. still I don't think there's inherently anything wrong with those places.
I live in Nashville and it is awesome. I am not shocked Memphis or Knoxville are crappy places to live because well Memphis is Memphis and Knoxville has the Sucking Oranges and such. I like Chattanooga enough to visit, don't really have issues with it.
I didn't read the criteria cause these things are click bait, but I did notice the following absences:
Ranking freaking Knoxville ahead of any of those is nuts, unless you sell crack or smoke it.

Savannah, GA is on this list. Savannah. My favorite overnight trip, followed closely by Asheville, NC. Yes, dear Sir, this list is manure.
Good call on both cities. We're only a little over an hour away from Asheville and go a couple of times a month at least. We went last Friday and watched the Tourists play the Rome Braves. Had Rocky's Hot Chicken before the game. That **** is addictive.

Rocky's is good. Prince's in Nashville is my gold standard, but I love me some Rocky's too. And I don't have to drive 569 miles to get it!
I've had some good times in Cleveland. It gets a bad rap, imo. The warehouse district is a blast. That part of the country is overcast and gray for like 7 months, and lake effect winds suck ***, but I can think of much worse cities than Cleveland.
