The 2015 recruiting cycle in Mississippi is going to be crazy

I got to looking at the 2015 prospects in the state, and there are already 12 guys with 4*. The only year in recent memory that comes close to this was 2011 with 11 4* guys. Most Mississippi guys tend to get bumped from a 4* to a 5* late in the process since they aren't scouted as much. It will be interesting to see how many 4/5* guys there are by next February.

Since Mullen took over
2009- 6 4*
2010- 7 4*
2011- 11 4*
2012- 1 5*, 5 4*
2013- 2 5*, 3 4*
2014- 8 4*
2015- 12 4*

If we can win 9-10 games and beat Ole Miss again, we may be setting the table to absolutely clean up in recruiting. Three of the 12 are already committed to us, and only 1 to Ole Miss.

Get ready for the Chris Jones drama across the state next year.

It's a loaded state. Kind of ironic that the worst in-state class I can remember would be immediately proceeded by the best in-state class.

back when qualifying.......

meant you graduated from HS, there were some incredible classes. Bob Tyler signed what would be top ten classes of mostly Mississippi kids a couple of times. At the same time, Ole Miss and USM were getting their share too. Seems like there were more kids to go around before education became important.

MSU Jr. Day this weekend. Let the games begin.

Alot of the top in-state talent skipped OM's JR day last week in favor of Alabamas -- which I found interesting. Gonna be fending off more than just the Rebs in this cycle on some of these guys...
