CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - An anonymous donor has made a transformational, $9 million gift to the Carolina Baseball Operating Endowment through The Rams Club. As part of the gift, the donor has challenged fans and supporters to match the generous investment and grow the endowment to $25 million. To date, $2.2 million has been pledged toward meeting the challenge.

Good lord, that is a significant boost to the program. With additional pledges it is already over $10 million creates over 1/2 million every year going forward for "want" items above and beyond the existing standard operating budget.

When I first heard about it, my jaw dropped! I’m thrilled that people are finally realizing just how special the Diamond Heels are. What a generous gift. They have been a lot more fun to watch over the last five or so years than basketball and football. Amazing coaching staff, and really great kids! We are extremely lucky!
