Same with the Big 12. Playing in Kansas City is like home court advantage for KU and Iowa St. as it is very close to Kansas and Iowa. Ditto the AAC with UConn playing at home. It is all about filling seats and making money.

Where else would you want the Big 12 to hold the tournament? I'm pretty sure the conference has played the game in Dallas before, but what other major venue is available that A.) is somewhat centrally located to a majority of the member teams and B.) can handle the number of fans. And as for a home court advantage, shouldn't St. Johns have benefited from the Big East tournament being held in NYC? Not to mention, The Garden was a short trip for most of the New England Big East teams.
