We are a couple of hours away from our semifinal matchup with Louisville. They are ranked #12 (UNC #16), and are 26-6 on the season. The #2-seeded Cardinals made short work of #7 Syracuse 87-61, putting six players into double figures.

The starting lineup is basically what has been the case for most of the season: Tatianna Roberts, Laura Ziegler, Elif Istanbulloglu, Mackenly Randolph, and Anaya Hardy. Against the Oranges the Cards shot 55.9% from the floor and 41.2% from three. They won the rebounding battle 43-34.

By the time our game starts – 2:30 PM and still standard time – we will know who our opponent will be if/when we reach the championship game. It will be either Notre Dame or dook. For me, I would rather it be the Irish and not a third meeting with dook.

Carolina is still seen by Charlie Crème as a 5 seed. Their ranking has hovered just below the cutoff for hosting, and do not appear in the Top 16 Committee ranking. UNC has a NET of 19 but a WAB of 14. A win vs. Louisville should be enough to put the Heels in as a host.

We are told that this will be the 30th time Carolina has reached the semis of the ACCT. That’s the most of any school.

Go Heels!

Bracketology:
-Crème: 5 seed:
-HerHoop: 4 seed

The numbers show we are a 4-seed. Crème is electing to put a 9-9 SEC Kentucky team ahead of us that is 6-8 in their last 14 games. 16 of their 23 overall wins are vs Q3 or Q4 teams. He is also electing to put 3 11-8 Big 10 teams over us. Carolina is 15-4 vs ACC teams this year. By numbers, they are a 4-seed right now. Win today and tomorrow- we have the resume of a 3-seed.

They are just not going to call defensive fouls in the paint on Louisville.
Yeah, there was one where the Louisville girl just gave Laney a forearm shiver to the midsection and then Laney threw up a bad shot and it’s like probably cause she thought she got fouled

Nice offense from NB. Liking her controlled drives when she is contested at the 3 pt line plus knocking down the FTs.

The storyline on Toomey after the season will be interesting. She’s literally unplayable at this point. No lower body strength hampers her in the post, offensively and defensively.
I think Cb will have to recruit over her.
