Air raid is probably just as common now.
Not the Leach version. There are concepts and variations that are similar and common today, but not the original Leach version. Just like there are concepts of the triple option or read option that are more common now, but not the more original versions like Army and Navy run.

State is fully committed to Football!

and fully committed to Baseball!

and fully committed to Basketball!

as committed as possible to softball!

as committed as possible to soccer!

tennis, golf, volleyball, track & field are what they are. At times we will have success there as evidenced by women's golf and men's tennis.

I think the Relf Coast is probably not a bad option. We implemented it pretty quickly and ran it with a QB that wouldn't have been really high on any blue blood's board until the Michigan game probably. The potential downside is it not being attractive to receivers.
Get a coach that evolves the offense with talent. 2010 offense under Mullen looked different then what he ran in 15 or even 14 or what he ran with trask at Florida. It was similar but tweaked based on the talents

States football success is recruiting physical athletes on defense and an athlete at Qb. Those type guys are in your backyard and are obtainable.

State should hire a defensive HC next and go with this recipe.
Don't necessarily agree with you on this but the first part I do. MS has plenty of talent to run a mullen style offense. Doesn't have to be a defensive coach but us going out and trying get the next offensive genius doesn't really work either especially if they require saquan Barkley or a team full of 4 and 5 stars for it to be good.
I always go back to Toledo last year. They beat our asss. What's their average recruit star ranking and nil budget. I'm sure it's way less than ours. What about Arizona state? They are in the big 12 doing just fine and beat us like a drum too. Where do they rank in recruiting? 40s? Where do they stand nil? Google says less than ours. It's about getting the right coaches that get more out of their players.

I doesn’t work except when it worked (Mullen & Leach).
