The Auburn game and media spin

I had to laugh Saturday night while listening to the Auburn-LSU game.

Week 1, post Clemson game: "That's a great win for Clemson. They've shown they deserve the hype they're getting"

Week 2, post MSU game: "Auburn is in shambles. Chizik is on the hot seat."

Then, as the clock was ticking down Saturday night, I hear on the broadcast (not exact quote of course):

"this is a very good win for LSU, they've just beaten a very good Auburn team."

We are ranked in the Top 20 because of that game......

Some of you need to quit listening to the 2nd rate media. We are getting the respect we deserve, to the point that many think we may actually be overrated. You can't have it both ways.

Those guys go from week to week changing what they say to better match to what is going on. Also I think all SEC 4 and 0 teams should be ranked regardless. After six straight NC the conference has earned it.

They were covering their LSU investment...

..stating the obvious, but ESPN has millions of dollars invested in LSU's football success. Therefore if a crappy Auburn team plays LSU close, then they must protect LSU by praising Auburn. These guys have no authetic opinions about anything. They just spew whatever propaganda best protects their corporate bottom line.
