Week eight is upon us! Let’s get right to it.
Caroline vs Eastern View
Not a whole lot to say about this one. No disrespect to anyone intended but the Cyclones will not be challenged until the playoffs. Eastern View gets the win!
Chancellor vs King George
This past week the best thing that could happen did. The Chargers got out without any further injuries that I know of. And I believe this week they will get some back that they have sorely missed. King George is a tough out anytime you play them. And I know I am going to take some heat over this call, but it is what it is. The Chargers are hungry! They should also have back three or four key players from the injured list. I think this is the week it all comes together. Chancellor gets the W in what I believe to be the game of the week.
Courtland vs Fauquier
A late season non-district game for the Cougars this week. Fauquier seems to be in the same boat a lot of the Battlefield has been in this year. Courtland is coming off two wins and that has their confidence way up! It won’t let them down this week either. Courtland gets the W.
James Monroe @ Spotsylvania
I think this game has the makings to be very, very good. Spotsy’s spirits are higher than they have been in years! JM is still struggling a little. One thing you can never count out is the Jackets showing up and TCB. Have to admit though, this one has me a little baffled. There is enough reason there to have this game go either way. I’m going with my gut and saying the Jackets put it together. JM with the W.
