The best argument for the interlocking

Is from at the end of one of the 1999 comeback games. (I think it was the Egg Bowl). The TV footage catches (I think it was) DL Dorsett Davis holding his helmet facing the camera and pointing to the MSU logo. Those guys were very proud of their brand and their identity. (Which Coach Jackie talked about all the time)

Send the clip of that to Zac Selmon and anyone who needs to see it.

We were most proud from 2009-2022 under the current branding led by the "Banner M". 13 bowl games, a rise to #1, Dak, Dan, many DL draft picks .... it was the most successful era of Mississippi State football ever.

What a coincidence when we get away from the Banner M, the wheels fall off.

At that time no one knew the interlocking was an option. The fan base was still being lied to that Nike owned that logo during that time.

Agree that Script State is sissy looking with ZERO imagination; whilst I like the Banner M, I would go back to the Stack MSU in NY minute vs that Script crap.

It's a generational question. Older fans are going to be more nostalgic for the Sherrill Era and that logo, and newer fans will be more nostalgic for the Mullen-Leach Era and the banner M from those years. I don't think anyone is going to be nostalgic for Croom's version of the banner logo, but if we hadn't sucked, some would be.

In a perfect world, Lebby will shock us all and be good and create a new generation of fans nostalgic for the Script State.

The interlock also has a tie to tradition we wore a cascading MSU or MS for a long time. We never should have moved away from it.

I agree just keep the maroon 85’s for at least one game a week in baseball too.
