The BIG will not sit by and let the SEC outdo them so here is what "Could" Happen. The BIG may take WVU, Kansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma St.

So the
BIG West
Wisconsin
Oklahoma St
Nebraska
Iowa
Texas Tech
Minnesota
Kansas
Ill
N Western

BIG East
Ohio St
Penn State
Michigan
Michigan St
WVU
Indiana
Purdue
Maryland
Rutgers

Not bad and you have built in rivalries on both sides

Texas Tech And OK St gets the BIG into texas Kansas helps with BB WVU fits and had sports that fits in the BIG

WVU Rival games
PSU
Maryland
Rutgers

Also the Rich Rod Bowl vs Michigan winner gets peppers from Oliverios

The Big Ten likely doesn't even want to expand, but they've said AAU membership is what they are considering.

This means Kansas or ISU from the BIG 12.

Kansas maybe because they have the cash flow and audience for the basketball. ISU short lived success that will soon die.

Michigan would have to veto Iowa State, or at least until they hire their football coach this coming December/January.

The BIG 12 has alot more than 2 good programs--Oklahoma State (1), Baylor(2x) and TCU(1) have won conference championships in football since 2011.

UT never went undefeated and was beaten several times by many and OU didn't go undefeated much either (KSU beat them last year as did ISU--and they lost other games over the years.

Alabama is much more dominant over the hangers on in the SEC in comparison.

The BIG may like the AAU but they like $$$$$$$$$$$ more. Texas Tech gets you into texas. OK st has a ton of cash from "donors" and Kansas has their BB program. Right now OKst would be second in the BIG West behind Wisconsin and is good enough to beat them. Texas Tech is already better than the Illini and would be a headache for many teams out there. WVU fits due to proximity and all their big time sports fit in with the BIG

Lets look at these schools in football since 2010

Oklahoma St 93 wins 10 bowl games plus OK st has great Wrestling BB has made 5 NCAA tournament showings
Texas tech 51 wins 4 bowl games BB has made 4 NCAA tournament showings
WVU 73 wins 9 bowl games 7 NCAA bids
And then Kansas who is a BB school

So all the schools mentioned brings something to the table

Countering the move made by the SEC

There is only one option. I think they are really finding out how difficult the PAC is.

They all want USC/UCLA but Stanford runs the conference and those schools will not leave without Stanford

We will sit in a stalemate forever. Stanford athletics have their own endowments and their money isn’t tied to media rights.
They don’t see this huge rush to leave. Their new commissioner is bringing different ideas to the table.

Not as long as Campbell is there. Moving to the B1G would enable ISU to pay Campbell whatever it takes to keep him and raise their recruiting.

Not happening. Baylor, TCU, ISU, KSU ARE big fat no WAY. Texas Tech not as attractive without Texas. Oklahoma State not a good fit. Kansas will be about the only Big 12 to Big 10.

You're in la la land little bucky.

What exactly has he done? He's had 1 really good season. Can't beat Iowa. Lost to a Sunbelt team. Goes 7-5 regular season then wins bowl game to get 8. One great season. Last year during covid and down year in Big 12. He is 35-28.

He beat Oklahoma, advanced to the Big 12 Championship Game, and won the Fiesta Bowl. Y'all done that since joining the Conference? Campbell has done a fabulous job at a nothing program. Your other posts about Iowa State are more accurate, as you're probably right that it's likely that the Cyclones won't continue to win after Campbell leaves, but to minimize what Campbell has done at a lousy program is wrong.

35-28 waiting on Michigan. Iowa State has been OU since Big 8 days. Familiar with a program helps.
3-9
8-5
8-5
7-6
9-3

The Big 12 voters strongly disagree with your constant criticism of Matt Campbell, Allen. He's been voted as the Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Why? Because he's turned an historically bad football program into a respectable one. Here are the records of Matt Campbell's predecessors at Iowa State:

2009-2015 Paul Rhoads: 32 wins, 55 losses
2007-2008 Gene Chizik: 5 wins, 19 losses
1995-2006 Dan McCarney: 56 wins, 85 losses
1987-1994 Jim Walden: 28 wins, 57 losses, 3 ties

Campbell's 35-28 record looks damn good now, doesn't it?

Fans see WVU to the Big10 or ACC as well Heck yeah we're for reals.

Ohio State and Clemson see it as; wait we gotta split the same amount of money with another program that doesn't bring as much money as Wake Forest or Rutgers? Why? So we get how much less because WVU "is a good fit" and has a Big Time Facebook following? Nah we good

Yup cause 8-5 and 7-6 means national title. Even Rhoads went to bowl games. You forgot your boy Earl Bruce 35-32 before moving on to Ohio State. You also forgot all the other coaches that won games and bowl games.

When he starts winning 10 to 11 games every year then we can discuss above average.
