Got bit

Been a long time since I felt like this.....I think everybody expected a closer game but I swear if things could go wrong they did....Glenvar had a great gameplan and great execution.....I don't know what to think....you beat a team by 33 points 3 weeks ago and come out today and get thumped....didn't look like the same two teams.....Giles played bad....honestly they just did....and Glenvar played good.....made for a bad combination for Giles fans.....still think this team had all the potential to repeat.....I stayed until they all came off the field....thanked them as they left....and I meant it...today was that day when it just seemed like we were off.....it happens......but thanks to the players and coaches for a hell of a ride....GO GILES

Game 3 weeks ago was alot closer than score showed and Glenvar finally has all players healthy just like Giles did last year heading into playoffs....huge difference being at full strength...total domination all game by Glenvar and they deserved to win.....I thanked Giles players also....One hell of a fun run the last 3 years for these seniors.....Fans of other teams can get on here and run their mouths about Giles all they want I could care less....we won a state championship last year and made it to 3rd round this year......our players laid it all on the line every single game....came up short today but these players and our coaching staff sure made Friday night/Saturday afternoons alot of fun the last couple of years

when was the last time a giles team had not scored, I know it prob has been a long while coming from a great football program, I was at the Wilson game and my friend was listening to it and giving updates and sound like a crazy ending to the first half, sound liked glenvar made some major adjustments from the game a couple of weeks ago, should be a couple of good games next sat. GO BIG RED

Most Giles fans aren't in the mood....but if I remember correctly it was probably against cburg in maybe 2010....playoffs would probably be Powell Valley in Julius Jones senior year....It happens....congrats to Glenvar....Now you and Fort should get together and discuss football together,,,,privately...we wont bother yall......GO GILES

Compassion. I love it when some whipper snapper gives a grown man advise out of concerns for his emotions. Something tells me that winger 92 will be fine. Dealing with disappointment is part of life, and it's a shame that our young people seem to be having more trouble with that than in past years. Sometimes "No'' or getting defeated on the athletic field is part of life, learn from it, get better from it, keep the faith. Giles will be fine. It has great tradition, and places with great tradition only become harder to beat after they suffer disappointment. Old 92 and his gang will be right back next year and contend for the state title again. Just watch. Good things do not happen by accident.

I agree with you blue bomber. We learn more from our defeats than our victories if we let them teach us. Giles lost one time in the last 27 games. That is incredible when you think about it. It's tough to lose when you just beat the same for whatever reason just wasn't Giles night. I am also a big Salem fan for 30 years as well as Glenvar and pretty sure Glenvar would have given Salem a run for their money as well yesterday. Just Glenvar's day.. You have Glenvar overcoming 20 years of frustration and Giles mourning one loss in a very big game. Giles will be back even stronger next year because they have character..no doubt!
