we didn't fold in the second half. We played the second half with the same energy and effort we played in the first half and that's the first time I've seen that this year when I've actually had the chance to see us play. I really felt we had little chance to win at half even down 2 because lately we've been folding our tent in the second half of every game, but to our team's credit they didn't do that last night and earned the win. Hopefully the improved second half play will continue and not just a one game thing because it was Ole Miss.

But I'm feelin' an Elite 8, possibly Final 4 run.....we still suck. But I agree, refreshing, to me, is the best word to describe last night's performance. I just needed to see that from them. Makes me feel a little better at least.
Everything up to this point was pure garbage this season. Even the wins we had were not enjoyable.
To win was refreshing, but I think playing zone nearly the entire game had more to do with not folding in the second half than anything else.
the last 7 or 8 games knows that we have been consistently way beyond suckdom in the second half.
AK and the Bears were content on jacking up 3s and letting us stay in the zone. They shot 35 3s. We lost because they stopped falling (4 of 15 in the 2nd half).
I'm saying we can't expect for our starters to play 36 minutes a night, because most opponents aren't going to let us chill in the zone like that. If RSS plays even 3-4 more minutes of man defense last night, he probably doesn't have the stamina to play 30 minutes.
