TV announcers. The solution. The mute button.

I miss the days of broadcast professionals describing what was happening in the game they were announcing, instead of BS'ing about every other game or player in the country. When practical, I mute the TV and listen to Tony's internet broadcast, although I find Jay just about as annoying as the other "color" commentators. Just turned-off UK and TAM because Vitale is so bad. Mussburger is just as bad as Vitale.

It's all about them. Kind of like Selden's uncle, drawing attention to himself instead of the game.

I'd actually have said officiating... ...for the entire sport (basketball compared to ANYTHING).

It has to be the worst of all the more popular ones.

I turn off the sound and play the mandolin. Lets me have something to do with my hands and keeps me from throwing s$%t at the TV. I find that it increases our shooting percentage by around .001 percent also.

It would be beneficial if they focused on the game instead of trying to impress the viewing audience with there knowledge of all things basketball. I miss the times when they told you who scored, how many points they had, who and how many fouls the player had when it happened. Guess that's just trivia to most of the big time bozo announcers. Now we gotta hear "baby", "the Rock", and unending minutia from these talking heads instead of vital statistics.

Even with Simmons and co out of all tournaments, you're likely to somehow hear about Ben Simmons during our game with SFA on Friday night.
