The Braves take too many first pitch strikes..

He would take a 1st pitch fastball every single time, then foul off the next pitch, which was usually a fastball, and just like that he's down 0-2. Then he gets a breaking ball in the dirt and in less than45 seconds McLouth's plate appearance was over. It was like clockwork. Since Pendleton took over we started taking a lot more. I thought once we demoted him to 1st base coach that might go away, but I guess it hasn't.

I didn't expect a win tonight anyways. The Braves have always been terrible against Lilly. He kills us early in the count with his slow breaking ball then blows 86 MPH fastballs right by the guys.Same thing tonight. Only 3 hits allowed through 5 innings.

Hudson threw (don't think he ment to) at Sands head, and Lilly just threw behind McLouth.

Getting back on topic, since I made that post I've probably seen 3 or 4 Braves fly out on the first pitch swinging - so, who knows.
