Unlike the Wrangler, the Bronco has an independent front suspension that Ford maintains is better for high-speed desert running[/QUOTE]
thank goodness...cause we all need that.
Not if you park on the curb, and need to unload stuff. The GX 460 is the same way.Why is that wrong? Wouldn’t it be more convenient to open on the driver side?

Honestly, if you don’t live in a city and don’t have to park on the street, it probably won’t be an issue for you.
I do, and we have to park at least one of our vehicles on the curb.
This truck does interest me none the less, but I don’t understand why a vehicle made for the US market has a rear door that opens that way.
Its a Ford FJ Cruiser
Correct. But they are offering a 6+1 manual. 6 speed plus a granny gear. That’s pretty cool.Did I see correctly they’re not offering a V8 for it?

What truck door opens past 90 degrees at all?It opens the right way so it won’t be out in traffic. Not following your logic here.
yep, a turbo 4 (270 HP) and a turbo V6 (310 HP). can get a 7 speed manual or 10 speed auto
Regarding the rear opening door, I don’t think that was ever a consideration of Ford - parking along the curb. I mean if you’ve got a car behind you, you may not be able to open it anyway depending how much space you have- no matter which side it opens from. I think they changed it for the same reason that vehicle manufacturers changed the gas cap door from the passenger side to the driver side. It’s all about driver convenience and not much else.
Looks more like an International Scout to me.
Not sure why they did that...
As a Chevy guy, the new Bronco looks decent.
Chevy should be ashamed of the Blazer they rereleased last year. Just a shameful effort.
That kind of blows. V6 turbo is nice, but damn this is ‘Merica. I want 8 cylinders screaming through my pipes where the muffler used to be.
