Not sure if this deserves its own thread but here it is anyways.

Here we have a consensus top 10 (top 7 if you exclude those clowns in the DSR) with the talent of the South Suburbs behind them. A team who has criss crossed the country in search of great competition and when it found that competition blew it out the water scoring 43 and 63 respectively. Even their coach said the North Carolina team reminded them of The Brook.

Yes, Irish Glory's (we are) H-F, a team Coach Big Pete and Deep Dish Football says should easily win conference and may be the best in the state, may very well be the most "talented" in the state along with East Side and perhaps Phillips.

Last week the Vikings blanked an undefeated for while pouring in points so much so that if they were a Hurricane they would be '91 Miami or Irma (if water were points).

A team with so many recruits they may as well be a college team themselves. We'll address them later this week.

Question is, does America's team, the Beloved Raiders, stand a chance?

No, but Pringle, Mitchell, Buford, and Walters can. Some would argue that they're the best unit on the team.
The Brook is absoltely loaded and the fact that people haven't really clued into it is beyond me. Vespo is a very solid QB with weapons galore, he's playing really well too so look out. Anthony Williams is an absolute star at RB that transferred in from Simeon. He was talked about a lot there but not a peep so far. The talent at WR is almost unfair and it's super young! The OL had exceeded my expectations thus far and has some terrific size and athleticism. On the DL you have Mallory who is an absolute gamechanger and Plainfield South transfer Joey Sarracco bolsters the unit. As Bones said the DB's are supremely talented and FASSSST.

This has all the looks of a top 10 team yet no one is talking about them. The game vs HF is absolutely the game of the week and will be an absolute heavyweight slugfest. Looking forward to it!

Brook shows Homer-Flosswood a kind of game they have yet to experience this year.

Not sure whether Brook finishes them off after the shock, but this is absolutely a heavyweight battle royale.

The Brook has had a couple of sub-par years prior to this year, and there is probably some carryover in terms of why they are still under the radar. This could be a statement game to announce they are back. Definitely the GOTW.

I didn't want to be the Debbie downer as I was high on The Brook last year (so I'm glad PJJP pointed it out as well),...for one reason or another they had a sub par year last year and the year before compared to history and I'm sure their own expectations.

I am learning that A year can make a huge difference with HS teams (one more year of development for the underclass and lots of new starters and the new team has to gel plus the ever popular transfers in a few cases, as well as injuries make a huge impact etc). Maybe this is the year of The Brook!! If they beat HF - then I am on board.

Brook wins by 2 in an upset
Let's not go overboard, I was just asking if we had a chance.

I can certainly understand the skepticism, during the off-season I predicted a 3-6 record simply following the recent trend (6-3, 5-4, 4-5) however, those teams offensive problems we're evident almost regardless of who the opponent was (actually the offensive woes go back to 2012 when Bailey got injured).

This team has no such issue. Obviously as the opponents get better offense gets harder, but those teams struggled for 10 yards and false starts on 1st down we're drive killers.
