I agree, but everyone complained when the NCAA games were in the 50s. Can't make it to where the best players have to stay for 3 years, no. We're going to call everything incredibly tight to open the game up.

The ncaa cant make anyone stay for 3 years so this is the best option. And its the one that apparently worked for the nba.

Patience....

The players will adapt. This transition period might be tough, but the players will adapt. It's a necessary thing in order to return the game to a free-flowing, minimal physical contact competition that it should be.

Once the players adapt and the refs continue to call the games according to the rule book, scoring will increase. Three decades of watching basketball devolve into a grab-fest has clouded the minds of most basketball fans. Most fans born after the mid-70's can't remember a game void of wrestling matches in the paint.

Don't tell me that NBA players are "The Best Athletes in the World" and then turn around and tell me that those professional athletes can't control their bodies so as not to commit a foul. That is a contradiction. College basketball players should be held to the same standard.

Gotta agree with the original poster here. They must of called a foul on 10 consecutive trips in the 2nd half tonight. It was brutal to watch. Bring back last year's rules. I had no problems enjoying college basketball last year. This year I can't say the same. I don't want college basketball to turn into NBA style. No thank you.
