This time of year, there's lots of talk about the "Pennant Race." Currently in the cellar of their respective divisions are LA, SR, Naz, CoM, Leo and JC. Probably not much chance for any of them.

Now that the non-con portion of the season has concluded and we all have a pulse on the 24 members, we will have 7 weeks with 12 CCL/ESCC games. I respectfully ask that anyone interested submit their predictions with the points for all 12 games and I will track results.

Winner to receive a major award TBD on a later date at a unspecified location.

Thanks 3OW.

BR -7 BR with a back door cover in what is going to be a very good HS football game.

Marist +11 ND may win, I think many ESCC/CCL observers are still trying to gauge both teams but 11 at home, you gotta jump on.

MCHS +19 I have MC by double digits but more like 24-14 or 30-17. Still have to take the points

LA +16 At least LA will have to start the starters in the second half

JCA -1 We’ll see if the tough first two weeks opponents help or hurt the Hilltoppers. I say they help and they get the win.

DLS -5 just a technical grab. Gambletron’s algo goes off neutral field so technically, DLS should be -8 or -7.5 with home field so I’ll take the discount

Naz -14 hopefully the game is as entertaining as the week long thread

SICP +22 BAc should win decently but SICP always brings excellent effort so they should keep pace for awhile

SV -18 see technical reason above

StP -7 Leo will hang for a bit but the ‘Rocks win going away

CoM -15 As well as an 0-2 as one can expect, the Corsairs take out some frustration at home.

Marian North +2 Heights doing nice things low-key but not enough to pull off the road win yet

3OW, I’ll get back to you later with what I want when I take the inaugural belt after week 14

Mount Carmel is at home. Mount Carmel is playing on their new field. Mount Carmel is top-ranked in the AP poll. It is Friday, the 13th. When is the last time Mount Carmel lost to a 5A school, even if they are a very good program? It is never about picking the winner, it is simply about guessing the final score.

None of those teams were playing in 5A when MC lost to them. De La Salle and Montini were 6A and Rita and Providence were 7A those years.

Why does it matter. Enrollment didn't change that much except maybe Provi. And just cause Montini was playing up in 6A doesn't mean they weren't a 5A team cause they were Successed up.

Im just stating a fact. The teams you mentioned were not 5A teams when they beat MC.

I disagree completely. If you play a 7A/8A schedule, you shouldn't be playing a 5A postseason. Cheap trophies.

I did the same. Not seeing anything yet though on the stream.....

Guess this was a mistake. Per Twitter, the game has already started (ND holds Marist to a 3 and out on first possession). No stream on NFHS. I regret my foray into the pay-for-streaming world already. Hopefully they have good customer service as I will probably be asking for my $ back.

Tough look for the MC faithful here, I’ll take the dismal showings in these weekly contests as long as the Caravan keep winning on the field. Thanks 3OrangeWhips for putting this together and tracking it.
