It's back, sportsfans! The Chicago Catholic League prediction thread is primed and ready to pull you all off your seats away from your round-the-clock Ryan Lochte news to get you back where you should all be at this time of year: focusing your attentions on physical activities 17 and 18 year old boys for fun and profit.
A reminder, this is the 115th year of athletic and academic success for the league. How it ever managed without this weekly thread, we will never know.

A reminder: make your predictions - either spread or outright score - using the handy COMPU-WAGER® prediction provided.

MC over Taft 56-18: Philly St Joe's was not available this year

SR over Pat's 14-6

LA over Marquette 35-0

PC over EStL 24-16: could be 1st of 2nd time they play this year, PC ready for a bounce back season

BR over Marist 31-21: a Senior at QB and the senior skills trump the Marist talent for me. Marist not with their normal personnel, bigger O line, different style QB, younger at the skills.

I give BR the edge in this, because of their more experienced skills as well. Ironically, the lower the point output in this game, the better Marist's chances are for victory. On paper, this should be Marist's best defense in Dunne's tenure. However, it's a tall order to hold Rice's offense down all game. And how well does Dunne and his staff coach defense? I'll say Rice 24 Marist 21.

Marist has Topps to put on Smalling but a frosh corner is a tall order.
