Just wondering what your position was 5 years ago when Maine South was castrated here for running up the score on weaker teams? Their excuse was also the 1st team needs the work.

Tough schedule Joe's beat Lake Forest Academy, DePaul, CPS Kelvyn Pk. , and powerhouse East Moline United. They probably will petition to play up several classes next year in the Blue conference.

Well Southside and ChiIrish this week at Rita both teams will be able to keep their 1st teams in for both halves. Many of us know how much your hearts reach out to Joe's. Heaven forbid you didn't put 55+ pts on anyone this year when you were clearly the better team at home.... oh yeah you did vs Rich Central. Sorry that we had to play our starters (and subs) for the first half (with subs only 2nd half). Sorry that the coaches wanted to make sure the O and D was able to work on their plays they practiced all week (to prep for future games) and tor the parents of starters and subs who want to see their kids play and some who have kids on the bubble for recruiting to see their kids score points and to provide Joe's with some stiff competition so they themselves will be more prepared for their next two games (which are not gimme's).

First of all I'm not a Rita guy. Second I simply said in my opinion pull starters once you have a running clock. Would your feeling be the same if smalling got hurt with less then 3 minutes up 49-0 instead of scoring a touchdown.

He could get hurt in pre-game drills as well - if others on the 1st team were in and Ricky got hurt I'd feel bad but I wouldn't second guess Badke. His team. Anyway, while absorbing a L like one Joe's took this weekend might seem bad, my understanding is that there no serious injuries on either side of the ball and I do believe Joe's will play better in their next two games having gone up against a team they won't face the likes of again with respect to speed. Also sorry to assume you were a Rita guy.

Any word on how Marmion held Laurence to 12 points?

MC running it up on De seems a little more seedy than Rice scoring on Joe. Joe played 11 guys on the line and had no interest in stopping Rice. Clock began to run 3 minutes into the second quarter.
